Ride Abuja is a first of its kind sportive in the Nigeria’s capital city. It is a cycling race that will take place on an 84Km course traversing the many districts and zones of the city touching various landmarks like the City Gate, National Mosque, World Trade Center, 3 Arms Zone, just to mention a few.
This high-energy event, which we intend to be annual, will bring together professional cyclists, amateurs, and spectators from across Nigeria for a day of sport, community, and celebration.
Participants will complete the course in two categories featuring male and female cyclists:
The race is broken into two (2) categories:
- Pros – Male and Female
- Recreational – Male and Female
Cash prizes and medals will be won by top finishers in each category, while other finishing participants will also receive medals for their effort.
Race Cut Off.
For safety of participants, cyclists who don’t pass Km 40 within 2 hours and 15 minutes of the race start must discontinue the race and proceed to the start point at Eagle Square and will not be eligible to receive a finisher’s medal. Participants must cross the finish line within 4 hours and 45 minutes of the start of the race to be eligible to receive the finisher’s medal. Race marshals will enforce this.
