Yes, there is a 4km neutralized zone which will be led by a pilot vehicle traveling at not faster than 20km/hr. All participants are required to ride behind the pilot vehicle until a commissaire flags off the official start of the race at Km 0. Any cyclist who rides ahead of the pilot vehicle before Km 0 risks disqualification.
Yes. There is prize money in both the pro and recreational categories. Details will be provided later.
At the moment there are no plans to deploy timing chips. If this changes before the event participants will be notified.
Yes. For safety of participants, cyclists who don’t pass Km 40 within 2 hours and 15 minutes of the race start must discontinue the race and proceed to the start point at Eagle Square and will not be eligible to receive a finisher’s medal. Participants must cross the finish line within 4 hours and 45 minutes of the start of the race to be eligible to receive the finisher’s medal. Race marshals will enforce this.
Yes, there will be two feed zones. One between Km 22 and Km 23, and another between Km 56 and Km 58. There will also be mechanics and light refreshment available at these zones.
